Well 2020 – what a year! It started out as drought, smoke and bushfires then suddenly turned to COVID-19 and a global pandemic, the likes of which our generation has never seen. With the virus reaching our shores in around March we saw lockdowns of business and community which really tested the strength of character of ordinary Australians.
In the ACT, the construction sector remained operating at 100% as our members continued to turn up to work day in day out to keep our economy going. After some uncertain times in March and April it seems that our private sector is still keen to invest in the ACT which is a good outcome for construction in our region.
